Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Robin’s Home Family of Services.

If you are 18 years of age or older and want to serve in any volunteer capacity, you must undergo a background check. Because we work with children and around children, one of our checks is specifically aimed at keeping children safe. As a volunteer, these background checks are free to you.

Our process for signing up to volunteer with us is a three-step process.

Step 1: Let us know you are interested

Fill our our online Volunteer Information Form.

Step 2: Required Background Checks

1. Pennsylvania Criminal Records Check – Please visit the PA online portal at https://epatch.pa.gov/home to securely enter your personal information for your required background check. Select the New Volunteer Record Check option.

2. Keep Children Safe Check – Please visit https://www.dhs.pa.gov/KeepKidsSafe/Clearances/Pages/PA-Child-Abuse-History-Clearance.aspx to complete this check. If you use the online version, you will need to create an individual account. Once you have the account, you will be choosing the reason for check listed as “Volunteer having direct volunteer contact with children.” If you choose to use the form version, you will also select this reason.

Step 3: Forward your background check information to us

Once you have completed the Volunteer Information Form and both of the above background checks, you can either email the results to Mary@RobinsHome.us or mail them to her at:

We’ll use the information that you submit to contact you with volunteer opportunities. Your personal information will be kept strictly confidential and will not be sold, reused, rented, loaned or otherwise disclosed.
