Robin’s Home and Robin’s Home Family of Services provides a wide variety of services to our veterans community. We are grateful to the amazing folks who help Robin’s Home excel in customer support.

Mary Chitwood, Founder, Executive Director, Certified Peer Specialist, and CPS Team Supervisor

Mary Chitwood

Mary is a United States Army Veteran (Active Duty 2003 – 2006). During her enlistment she was stationed at fort Irwin, CA. She was awarded five Army Achievement Medals, Army Commendation Medal, and Good Conduct Medal. She attended the University of Phoenix and holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Criminal Justice Administration and Security.

Mary created Robin’s Home to provide Supportive Housing to homeless, unstably housed, and low-income women veterans and their children. Robin’s Home is the first housing program for homeless women veterans and their children. Robin’s Home serves five counties covered by the Butler VA Medical Center and also provides support for Allegheny and Erie counties. Robin’s Home continues to grow supportive services including this latest addition of Peer Support.


Evelyn Delisio, BS, Robin’s Home Service Coordinator

Evie Delisio

Evie is a graduate from Slippery Rock University with a bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, with an emphasis on children and families. As Robin’s Home Service Coordinator, my primary role is to assist women veterans in navigating and accessing the resources and benefits available to them. I work closely with the women veterans to understand their needs and help them connect with services such as healthcare, education, employment assistance, and disability benefits while obtaining permanent housing. I am passionate about serving those who have served our country and strive to ensure that women veterans receive the support and assistance they deserve.


Jill Dettro, Certified Peer Specialist

Jill Dettro

Jill Dettro, is a proud United States Army Veteran (Active Duty 1988 – 1992), bringing resilience and a unique perspective to her role as a Certified Peer Specialist. She is committed to leveraging her military experience to support fellow women veterans on their mental health/substance abuse journey. She utilizes lived experience to foster empathy, understanding, and connection. She is passionate about creating a stigma free environment, offering encouragement, and empowerment to promote recovery in the lives of her peers.


Dan Pollock, Veterans HEART Resource Center Receptionist

As an Air Force and Iraq Veteran, Dan has dedicated his life to serving his country with honor and integrity. Throughout his military career, he’s experienced the challenges and triumphs that come with defending our freedoms. He enjoys music and sports. These passions bring him joy and a sense of community. Currently, he’s grateful for the opportunity to continue serving my fellow veterans at the resource center. It’s his mission to ensure that all veterans receive the support and resources they deserve. He’s committed to making a difference in the lives of those who served our country.


Ev Kelly Searle, Board President and Marketing/Fundraising Coordinator

Ev brings a wealth of knowledge to the Robin’s Home team. In addition to being the current president of Robin’s Home board of directors, she continues to design and build fun and exciting fundraising events to help support Robin’s Home. The very successful Food Truck & Rock Fest event was the brain child of Ev.

Ev is a proud Down Syndrome mom and advocate, passionate about aiding non-profits with their marketing, and is a volunteer with the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix.


Karen Triscas, Certified Peer Specialist

Karen Thiscas

Karen Triscas is a Navy Veteran. She is passionate about assisting women in finding a whole new way of life from addiction and mental health conditions. She is here to share her own lived experience and be a strong encouraging support. She believes in having fun in recovery and doing new things to broaden her creative mind. She feels having a strong support system set in place is vital in life. She is grateful to be a strong stable support for many other women.
