Earlier this year, Robin’s Home partnered with Dr. Lee’s Critical Writing Class at Slippery Rock University. Students met with Robin’s Home residents and other female veterans to record and preserve women veterans’ stories. The students learned about women veterans’ military service and the unique challenges women veterans might encounter. The partnership provided students with experience in codifying another person’s story, crafting a narrative that extends beyond the classroom.
