Share your journey:
I got tired of hurting myself and my family. I knew if I went back to Pittsburgh that I would do that very thing and reenter a lifestyle of drugs and alcohol, and that terrified me.” Determined to make a change, Anita completed inpatient treatment and transitioned to Robin’s Home.

While at Robin’s Home, Anita secured employment, paid off debt, and ultimately transitioned to permanent housing. Her journey is a testament to her resilience and commitment to creating a better life for herself and her loved ones.
What motivates you to work with veterans and their families:
The fact that others are willing to help in my journey. They saved me from myself through lots of prayer and God being in my life as well
Impactful moment or story:
The fact that I have moved into an apartment near the Veterans HEART Resource Center near Mary, Jill and Evelyn is such a blessing in my life. They have no idea what they are and are going to be for me. They are going to help support me in going to school for my bachelor’s degree. God is going to touch so many lives through them. The ripple effect is going to be truly a miracle.
Wish more people knew about Robin’s Home:
Through helping women veterans, they are helping families. The ripple effect of helping the women is felt by sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, nieces, nephews, employers, and society are impacted through Robin’s Home.
