For families and individuals in the United States, March 2022 marks two years since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in this country. During that time, health disparities have been magnified, and socio-economic gaps have widened. But we’ve also seen greater recognition of inequities, and a commitment to work toward needed change. For fifty years, Adagio Health has been working to align our services with the needs of vulnerable populations. That work continues with the Better Health Outcomes Speaker Series: an opportunity for engagement and advocacy around health disparities that impact unique and marginalized groups.

Our first session focuses on Health Disparities Among Women Veterans: With an increased likelihood of experiencing homelessness, poverty, PTSD, depression, and poor physical health – women veterans are a unique and diverse population in need of specialized care. Adagio Health explores the reasons behind health disparities affecting women veterans, including Military Sexual Trauma (MST) and a need for more gender-specific services.
